Highland Street Utility Repairs

Utilities Crews will be working to repair a sewer line on Highland ST between the intersection with Washington ST and 109 Highland ST.  The road will be closed beginning at 7:00 am on Wednesday, June 9 and remain closed overnight and will reopen at around 5:00pm on Thursday, June 10.  Access to all addresses on Highland ST will be via Central ST.


Western Avenue Paving Scheduled

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

DMI Paving (a contractor of the town) will be paving Western Avenue between Orchard Street and the Academy School.  The work will take place overnight on Monday, June 7 between 6pm and 6am.  There will be alternating traffic in the area during these hours.  Motorists should expect delays in the area and seek alternate routes.

Closure of Maple Street for Utility Work

On Wednesday, May 26, Utilities crews will be working on Maple Street at the intersection of Maple ST & Locust ST.  The road will be closed to through traffic in that area beginning at 7:00am and continuing through around 4:00pm.  Please seek an alternate route.

Three Week Closing of Parking Garage First Floor

The first floor (lower level) of the Brattleboro Transportation Center (parking garage) will be closed for three weeks from Sunday, May 16 through Saturday, June 5, 2021, in order to make repairs to that floor of the structure. The Flat Street entrance/exit to the Transportation Center will be closed to all traffic. Vehicles will be allowed to enter and exit through the Elliot Street entrance only. All vehicles must be removed from the first floor of the BTC by 9:00pm on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

Brattleboro Spring 2021 Water Main Flushing Schedule

Utilities Division crews will start Spring Flushing of the Town water mains on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. and continue through Saturday May 8, 2021

NOTE: Some daytime flushing will continue throughout the weeks of May 10th and 17th 

Customers are asked to check the flushing schedule closely as flushing causes water discoloration, low water pressure and in some areas, intervals of no water.

Please note that water main flushing will occur at night and during the day.

Melrose Street Closure

On Friday, April 2, Utilities Crews will be working to repair a water main on Melrose St between the intersection with Western Ave and 39 Melrose ST.  The work will begin at 7:00 am.  The road will remain closed through Tuesday, April 6.   

Motorists should plan to use alternate routes during this time period.
