I-91

Northbound I-91 traffic has been relocated onto the southbound bridge. Traffic will remain reduced to one lane in each direction on I-91 until completion of the new bridge in the Fall of 2015.

Weather permitting, night work will be conducted Sunday night, March 2nd through Friday night, March 7th.

Route 30

The speed limit on Route 30 near the work zone has been reduced to 40 mph. This reduction will remain in effect through the Fall of 2015.

Project-related truck activity on Route 30 will continue. Route 30 will be reduced to a single lane intermittently both day and night, with flaggers regulating traffic within the work zone.


I-91 Pothole Repair on Saturday

The project team will be repairing potholes in both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-91 in the workzone (between Exits 2 and 3) on Saturday morning, February 22, during low traffic periods. Minor traffic delays are possible while the potholes are being repaired.


Brattleboro Police-Fire Facilities Upgrade – Input On Designs

The Brattleboro Police-Fire Facilities Building Committee invites the public to attend a display of design plans for the renovation of the Police Department, Central Fire Station, and West Brattleboro Fire Station on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 5:30pm in the Selectboard Meeting Room at the Municipal Center, 230 Main Street.

Following the display, the Police-Fire Facilities Building Committee will reconvene its meeting at 6:00pm and take public input on the design plans. For more information, contact the Town Manager’s office at 251-8151, tmsecretary@brattleboro.org.

Public Invited To “Trail Talk” To Be Held For I-91 Brattleboro Bridge Project

The PCL+FIGG Team will conduct the next on-site “trail talk” for the Public on Saturday, February 8, 2014. These trail talks will discuss the status of the I-91 Brattleboro Bridge Project and allow the public to ask questions. The talks will originate at the West River Trail near the marina.

The trail talk will be led by Caleb Linn, Project Manager for PCL (lead contractor), and Garrett Hoffman, Design Manager for FIGG (bridge designer). Interested participants should meet the PCL+FIGG Team at the West River Trail trailhead on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 8 a.m. and the talk will begin at 8:15 a.m. Participants will walk the trail to the I-91 bridge site, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

VT Route 30 under 1-91 Bridge in Brattleboro to be Closed December 18 and 19

MONTPELIER, Vt.—December 15, 2013–

The section of VT Route 30 that is directly under Interstate 91 in Brattleboro will be closed to all traffic beginning at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18 and continuing on Thursday, December 19. The closure is required to ensure the safety of the traveling public while demolition work is conducted on the existing I-91 northbound bridge spanning VT Route 30. The closure will be for a maximum of 48 hours; the route will reopen no later than 8:00 AM on Friday, December 20.
