We’re looking for shoppers (past and present!) and stakeholders from Foodworks, Retreat Farm, and Edible Brattleboro. We’d love to hear your thoughts about visiting these three places. If you’re interested, you can continue the conversation in an interview about your experiences. This is a chance to partner with the collaborative as we create a 5-year vision for an equitable, resilient, food system in Brattleboro. We’re hoping to build a broad coalition and welcome you to join us!

Brattleboro Senior Meals To Open 5 Days a Week

Beginning Monday,  August 2nd,the Brattleboro Senior Congregate Meal program will be operating five days a week (Monday – Friday).

Please note that there will be a limited capacity and reservations will be required. To make a reservation please call Cynthia at 802-267-1236. No later than 10 am.

Breakfast at the Brattleboro VFW located at 40 Black Mountain Road every Wednesday and Saturday from 6 am – 10 am. Public welcome for our meals!
Breakfast menu includes homemade pancakes, corned beef hash, eggs cooked to order, home fries, bacon, sausage and more. Wednesday’s have breakfast specials, and Wednesday July 28th will be a waffle with strawberries for $5.50. To-go’s are welcome by calling 802-257-0438. Attached is our Saturday menu with pricing, which is slightly different than the Wednesday menu. Come in, socialize, have a chat while drinking a coffee, relax. We don’t care. Just come in and be civil.

Breakfast Wednesday at the Brattleboro VFW located at 40 Black Mountain Road from 6am-10am. Special is a 3 egg western omelette with toast for $7.50. (Ham, onions and green peppers) Public welcome, as are to-go’s by calling 802-257-0438. Scott and Lou cooking.

Thursday July 8th lunch special will be stuffed pork with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and roll.

Brattleboro Senior Meals Lunches Re-Open

After a long wait the Brattleboro Senior Meals will be opening for our first Congregate meal on July 8th.  Lunch will be served between Noon and 12:30.  Contact: Cynthia Fisher, Director of Senior Meals, and make your reservation at (802) 257- 1236 or director@brattleboroseniormeals.org. for either our sit down lunch or to order a take out lunch.  Take out lunches need to be picked up between 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

I will be great to see all of the faces we have missed for over a year and a half.

Don’t forget there will be an extra breakfast offered Monday the 31st from 6am-10am. Three egg meat lover’s omelette with toast for $7.50 will be the special that day. Masks still required inside per town mandate.

VFW Meals Open to the Public

Breakfast at the VFW every Wednesday and Saturday from 6 am – 10 am. Public welcome for our meals! Lunch is served Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Wed. May 26th breakfast special will be 3 slices of French toast with real maple syrup for $5.50

Thur. May 27th is a large salad with chicken and bacon. Dessert will be raspberry or blueberry pie with whipped cream for $2.25 a slice while supplies last.
