Liv Berelson is on the front lines at CASP, (Community Asylum Seekers Project) and fills us in on the practical measures of support and services available, as well as the reality of their daily lives here and now. And the many ways their presence benefits our town.

On Wednesday, May 27, the State of Vermont will be distributing a large amount of free food in the student parking lot at Brattleboro Union High School from 10a – 2p. Everyone is welcome, you will be asked only the community you are from (this is for Brattleboro and the region around us) and how many people are in your household. You will not be asked names or your financial information.
On Wednesday, November 6th the Windham Southeast School District (WSESD) School Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Cusick Conference room on the second floor of the Windham Regional Career Center, 80 Atwood Street, Brattleboro. The board is scheduled to discuss the resurfacing of Brattleboro Union High School’s (BUHS) Natowich Field. The focus of the field portion of the meeting will be on BUHS’s proposal t0 resurface the field using artificial turf. Board sub-committees will present research on topics related to the three proposed resurfacing options, followed by discussion by the entire board and a possible vote. All are welcome to attend and comment.

On Wednesday, October 16th at Dummerston School at 6:00 p.m., the Windham Southeast School District (WSESD) School Board is scheduled to discuss the resurfacing of Brattleboro Union High School’s (BUHS) Natowich Field.
