With Something for Everyone, Bellows Falls Declares May, as Art Month in Bellows Falls

Bellows Falls, VT (May 3, 2022)—Today, Bellows Falls designates the month of May as “May, Art Month in Bellows Falls,” a town-wide celebration to build awareness and appreciation of the arts and businesses throughout the town from May 9 through Memorial Day Weekend. May, Art Month in Bellows Falls will highlight the arts and the cultural community, as well as the entire town including local businesses, creative entrepreneurs, and artists.

“We will be highlighting artists, events, shops, and restaurants that contribute year-round to the vital and cultural richness and economic stability of the community,” says Robert McBride, founder, and director of The Rockingham Arts & Museum Project (RAMP).  


Connecticut River Joint Commissions Receives Grant from State of Vermont

The Connecticut River Joint Commissions (CRJC) is pleased to announce that it has received a $30,733 grant through the State of Vermont Agency of Natural Resources Department of Environmental Conservation. This one-year grant provides funding to implement CRJC’s July 2021 to June 2022 work program. Additional funding is provided by New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services.

These funds will allow the CRJC to continue its emphasis on the grassroots, locally focused work of its five local river subcommittees and the broader implementation of its river management plan. The CRJC focuses on the key issues facing the Connecticut River watershed of Vermont and New Hampshire and plays the vital bi-state role of convening, catalyzing, and leading dialogue on these regional issues.


The End Of America + Oshima Brothers at Stage 33 Live in Bellows Falls, Saturday November 2

BELLOWS FALLS – The End Of America returns to Stage 33 Live on Saturday, November 2, co-headlining with Oshima Brothers. This is the first show of an Eastern US tour by the two bands.

The End Of America was voted Favorite New Artist at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, and won the Emerging Artist Showcase at Falcon Ridge, returning the next year as that festival’s Most Wanted band. Beck invited them to play his Song Reader album release show. David Crosby of Crosby, Stills & Nash tweeted, “they sound great.”


“Chicago” Opens at the Bellows Falls Opera House

SAXTONS RIVER, Vt. – The cast is set, rehearsals are going full blast and tickets are on sale for Main Street Arts’ production of Chicago, which opens Thursday, Mar. 28 at the Bellows Falls Opera House for a two-weekend run.

The cast of the Jazz-age musical set in the Windy City’s Cook County jail includes Kyla White as the imprisoned Roxie Hart and Izzy Serebrov as the smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn, who works for her release by making the tabloids sympathetic to her plight.


Draa Hobbs and John Stowell in Concert: A Fundraiser for WOOL-FM Black Sheep Radio and Stage 33 Live

On Sunday, September 23, Stage 33 Live in conjunction with Black Sheep Radio presents an afternoon of world-class jazz, including a workshop and concert, with guitarists Draa Hobbs and John Stowell. The event takes place at Stage 33 Live at 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, and ticket sales benefit the venue and the radio station, two non-profit community arts organizations serving the greater Bellows Falls area.
