Reggie Harris and Greg Greenway Deeper Than The Skin – Building Bridges with Music

WEST BRATTLEBORO — Singer-songwriters Reggie Harris and Greg Greenway will appear in concert at All Souls’ Church on Saturday, April 14th, at 7 p.m. with their joint production, “Deeper Than The Skin – Building Bridges with Music” addressing the racial divide.

Longtime friends and collaborators, Harris and Greenway put their experiences together in “Deeper Than The Skin,” a concert presentation that explores their unique history as a white man from the capital of the Confederacy and a black man whose maternal ancestor was a slave on a plantation just outside of Richmond. They have built a bridge between their lives through 30 years of friendship, shared goals, and a passion to build community.

Can Author Preview Their Story Before Submission?

I wanted to submit a story, but decided to wait until the following two item can be clarified:

1. I only see a “submit” button, but no preview. Before submitting a story, I want to see how my story will display so that I can make any needed corrections in advance. This was a feature of the old site: Does the new site eliminate that feature, or did I miss something?

Noticed Around Brattleboro – Spring 2018

Shall we try another “noticed around Brattleboro?”

I’ll start us off with something I saw downtown. There’s new curbing being put in at the north entryway to Harmony Lot. This is the entry that goes under the building. The new curb replaces the former driveway-like entrance, signaling to drivers that it is officially no longer an option to enter through that way.

Windy Day in Brattleboro

Wednesday evening was the beginning of some rather strong wind gusts in Brattleboro, leaving many without power, phones, internet service, trees, or some combination of the above by Thursday morning.

We had a meeting in West Brattleboro earlier today. Along the way we passed repair trucks from just about every telecommunications provider.  I counted six trucks parked with employees conferring just beyond the Farmers’ Market. There were others.

The Coincidence Numbers

Gematria is the practice of coding numbers into words.  In the beginning, according to the Book of Formation, which is the story of Genesis, God merged the word, letter with the number. In Genesis, each verse begins: “And God said”. God speaks the world into existence over the course of six numbered days, before resting on the seventh day and making it holy.

Wake Up! Prez Advisors Bolton Brzezinski Kissinger Mere Hirelings of Powerful Investors in WMD

DESCRIPTION:
CIA fed criminal mainstream media constantly keeps the focus on government officials to the detriment of public understanding that it is the ruling unhinged investors in WMD and war, who war promoting government officials like Bolton represent. Before both WW I and WW II too many people watched the continual build up of more and more WMD in fascination instead of fear and action. Are we just watching again now?

Selectboard Meeting Notes – Permits, Plans, and Policies

Brattleboro Selectboard

Permits, plans, and policies dominated the first regular meeting of the newly-formed Brattleboro Selectboard.

Flood plain models and measurements were at issue for a significant portion of the meeting, with little that could be done except make a federal case of the matter. In the end, an agreement to reach an agreement with a property owner was agreeable enough to allow the board to acknowledge the project they have no say in. It was that sort of an evening.

The skatepark approaches, but has not crossed, the fundraising finish line. A revised Town Plan is nearing completion, a re-application for the Downtown Improvement District relies on the Town Plan being approved, and the Heifers have permits to go strolling again this year.

King Held All Americans Including Himself Responsible for US Atrocity Wars Not His Government

TITLE:
King Held All Americans Including Himself Responsible for US Atrocity Wars NOT His Government by jay janson

DESCRIPTION:
Click on the link and read and/or listen to King’s sermon that made headlines in bold print on newspapers around the world fifty years ago, and notice it is NOT addressed to the government but to all Americans. (King’s nightmarish sermon came 4 years after “I Have a Dream” at the March on Washington) King spoke to the people to the government which he dismissed as the greatest purveyor of violence in the world.

Coded Stories at CNN

Gematria is the practice of coding numbers into words.  In the beginning, according to the Book of Formation, which is the story of Genesis, God merged the letter with the number. Gematria is from the Kabbalah.

There are many different ways or ciphers to figure out the Gematria of a word or phrase. The English ordinal method a=1, b=2,c=3, z=26..etc  The English Reduction method: z=26..2+6=8  The Reverse English ordinal method: a=26, b=25…y=2,z=1  and the Reverse Reduction method: a=8, b=7..etc..These follow the rules of numerology. The letter “S” is the 19th letter in the alphabet. In reduction “s” can also be 10 and 1.

Let’s Look at Classifieds

The new Classifieds section is quite nice.  So nice that it has its own link in the upper blue bar. (You can use that pull-down menu to get your own classified. More on that later.)

When you get to the Classifieds page, you’ll see a list of all the current ads. Up at the top is a way to search the classifieds, which might come in handy if you are looking for something specific and there are a lot of ads. You can search by keyword or location.

The Real Meaning of “26”

In Kabbalah, the central belief is God created the world with language, by combining the number with the letter with the word. This is expressed in the foundational text of Kabbalah, the Sepher Yetzirah, or in English, The Book of Formation. In its opening paragraph, it states, in reference to God creating the world, “He created His Universe by three forms of expression: Numbers, Letters and Words”. This belief about creation from The Book of Formation is in line with the beginning of the Holy Bible, which begins with Genesis, where God speaks the world into existence over the course of six numbered days, before resting on the seventh day and making it holy.
