Artist Opening at MGFA: Susan Osgood, “Mapping the Unknown”

Mitchell • Giddings Fine Arts is proud to feature Mapping the Unknown, an exhibition of monotypes, oil paintings and collages by Susan Osgood.  The exhibit showcases work featured in the book A Ghost of Water: Poems by GennaRose Nethercott Inspired by the Art of Susan Osgood. An opening reception is set to take place Thursday, September 21 from 5 -7pm, with an Artist Talk scheduled for Saturday, October 28 at 5pm. A special reading of A Ghost of Water by GennaRose Nethercott will take place in the gallery during the Brattleboro Literary Festival on Sunday, October 15 at 5:30pm. The exhibit will run through November 5.

Circus-In-A-Suitcase: Kevin O’Keefe of Circus Minimus – Fun at Brooks Memorial Library’s Birthday Party!

Seriously funny man Kevin O’Keefe, of Circus Minimus fame, will be entertaining children and adults alike with his Circus-In-A-Suitcase, beginning at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 23rd as part of our 50th Birthday party! His fun and entertaining performance in the second floor meeting room will be followed by CAKE!


Brattleboro Youth Rock Festival Announces 2017 Line-up – Advance Tickets On Sale Now

Eighteen youth rock bands and solo musical artists from around New England will take the stage at 118 Elliot in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont on Saturday, September 23 for BrattRock 2017, the second annual Brattleboro Youth Rock Festival. Performances will take place on two stages, one indoor and one outdoor, between 4:30 and 11:00 PM. Gates open to the public at 4:00 PM. In addition to six continous hours of live music, the festival will feature food vendors, arts and crafts activities, and games. All are invited to attend this fun-for-all-ages event.


Mid-Autumn Moon Festival of China, Korea and Vietnam

Asian Cultural Center of Vermont (ACCVT) presents the 19th annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival (Zhongqiu Jie) which is celebrated in China, Korea, Vietnam and other places around the world. Celebrate the Autumn Moon Festival with crafts, songs, food, t’ai chi, paper lanterns, Chinese exercises, the Korean rope tug and more.


Brattleboro Women’s Chorus Open Rehearsals

The Brattleboro Women’s Chorus will begin its 22nd fall session on September 6 & 7, with a repertoire that will feature an eclectic mix of songs about Love and Music. Any woman or girl age 10 or older is welcome to participate in the rejuvenating power of singing with others.
