Please note that the Town Clerk’s office hours have changed, and we are now closed from 12-1 p.m. daily.
- Absentee Ballot
Absentee ballots for the March elections must be requested.
- Voting absentee by mail:
Anyone wishing to vote absentee may apply for an absentee ballot until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 3, although we recommend doing so as soon as possible to allow for mail delivery time. Ballots can be requested through the voter’s My Voter Page, https://mvp.vermont.gov, or by contacting the Town Clerk’s office at 802-251-8157 or townclerk@brattleboro.gov. Mailing of requested absentee ballots began on February 12.
- Picking up an absentee ballot:
Only the voter may pick up their ballot from the Town Clerk’s Office.
- Returning your absentee ballot:
Ballots can be returned by mail, dropped off in advance of the election in the drop box in the Municipal Center parking lot, or returned to the polls on Election Day. When returning voted ballots, please pay careful attention to the instructions included with your ballots. All voted ballots must be received by the Clerk before the polls close on Election Day, March 4, by 7 p.m. to be counted.
- In-Person Early Voting
In-person early voting will begin on Tuesday, February 18 at the Brattleboro Town Clerk’s Office. This option is available through Monday, March 3 at 5 p.m. There must be two election officials in the office in order for us to provide this service.
- Voting in Person on Election Day
Brattleboro voters can vote in person on March 4 at the American Legion, 32 Linden St. Polling hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sample Brattleboro ballots and meeting warnings can be found on our website at https://brattleboro.gov/sample-ballots. Visit our Voting FAQs at https://brattleboro.gov/voting-faqs. MVP website blocked?
Is anyone else having problems accessing https://mvp.vermont.gov?
I receive an error saying “This request was blocked by our security service”. This happens in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I’ve tried accessing it via Consolidated fiber as well as Comcast cable and always get the same error.
Just hoping for some confirmation before I try to contact the Secretary of State to resolve the issue (since https://sos.vermont.gov/elections/ also has the same problem).
FYI Friday 12:25
The site comes up for me… (Vtel, Mac, Safari and Firefox). Both sites do.
Hmmm…
Working now
Thanks, it’s working for me too now. I did email the company that provides their “security”, perhaps they quietly fixed it?
