  • For tight scheduled folks...

It would be great if someone who has a bit of time could summarize here why she is running. : )

  • Here ya go, summarized~

AET has lived here nearly 30 years. Their farm is a hub of activity and people talk to her about drugs, affordability of living here; especially seniors who have no choice to downsize to a nearby smaller home, but have to move away.

3 big issues? She’s a Democrat who believes business is important. Peep are aging, young peep are leaving Vermont. Economic vitality is #1. What small and large businesses would be good and sustainable for Vermont?
#2 is drugs- trafficking and use. Rehabs and bridge programs, job training. Not in favor of safe injection site; rather fund rehab and job training. Currently, those who have any treatment go right back to what they were living in before treatment. Revolving doors don’t work but there are no bridge back to life programs to help.
#3 Seniors.  Housing stock opportunities low for seniors, isolation is an issue.

Taxes are also on her mind. We have experts and we’re smart in Vermont.

Fish: Why are you better than Emilie? AET is rooted in West B and the community. Sees what’s going on and listens. People say they feel heard. She won’t disregard the unhappy voices and will ask what’s on minds, will bring that to Montpeculiar.
