Bernie Sanders has announced his intention to run for Vermont Senator.
This young, new face may be unfamiliar to Vermonters, but readers may recall that he was one of the many candidates for President in 2016.
According to NBC “Sanders highlighted the need for a $15-per-hour national minimum wage, pay equality for women, a single-payer Medicare for all system, free public college tuition, reducing student debt, rebuilding national infrastructure, addressing systemic racism, combating climate change, common sense gun safety legislation, protecting a woman’s right to choose, criminal justice reform, immigration reform and creating a fairer tax system.”
