Early/absentee ballots for the Presidential Primary and Annual Town and Town School District election to be held on March 1, are now available in the Brattleboro town clerk’s office. Anyone wishing to vote prior to March 1, may apply for an early/absentee ballot until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 29.
Early/absentee ballots may be voted in person in the clerk’s office, mailed to the voter by the clerk’s office, picked up by the voter or delivered to the voter’s residence by two justices of the peace. All voted ballots must be received by the clerk before the polls close on election day in order to be counted. Early/absentee ballots remain sealed until election day. Absentee ballot envelopes are opened at the polling place and ballots are processed through vote tabulators in the same manner as those voted in person that day. Wednesday, February 24, at 5:00 PM is the deadline to register to vote in the Presidential Primary and Town and Town School election. If you are registered to vote in the town you reside in, you do not need to register again.

Office hours for the Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office are 8:30AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. In addition to regular hours, the office will open Saturday, February 27, from 9AM to noon for early voting and will be closed Tuesday, March 1, election day.
Voting on March 1, will be held in the Municipal Center, 230 Main Street, Room 212. Polling hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
