Watch America’s last 4 presidents each announce that they’re bombing Iraq
Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and now Obama make their statements over
the span of two decades. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etFX8rLvxoo
I am appalled at the incalculable human costs of a demonstrably failed, bipartisan, interventionist foreign policy that has accomplished absolutely nothing for all of the 21st century.
And Clinton (We came, we saw, he died) shows absolutely no intention of deviating from this failed course of action. In fact, the media is already stating that “A Vote for Hillary Clinton Is a Vote for War”:
As secretary of state, she rarely missed an opportunity to back more and bigger interventions. “Clinton backed a bold escalation of the Afghanistan war,” wrote Michael Crowley in Time in 2014. “She pressed Obama to arm the Syrian rebels, and later endorsed air strikes against the Assad regime. She backed intervention in Libya, and her
State Department helped enable Obama’s expansion of lethal drone strikes. In fact, Clinton may have been the administration’s most reliable advocate for military action.” –Nick Gillespie –

Bernie has not as yet come out unequivocally against further war. C’mon Bernie…now’s your chance!
"Death Culture"
Since February 2013 I’ve been decrying this perpetual “death culture” we live by on these pages and longer in other publications, knowing all the while it is a losing proposition.
In the context of the ‘commander in chief,’ no president is going to finish their first term without bombing someone if they want to be elected to a vainglorious second.
second term
I might vote for that person’s second term if they didn’t bomb in the first. Bombing often loses me as a supporter. The lost art of diplomacy is far more rewarding, in my view.
25 years!

The Onion, but rather accurate in much of the narrative.
