Scheduling Conflict ?
I wonder if the congressman realizes that many of his constituents might be at an anti-war vigil at that hour. This is a natioally publicized event, organized by a large list of co-ordinating groups.
Should he not have taken this into account when he scheduled his telephone town hall, so that more people who care about this issue could attend??
Should he not have taken this into account?
Perhaps he did. : )
well....
… yeah, that’s what i thought too. I just did not want to mention it as i posed the question, in order to keep it a bit neutral for starts.
I called their office immediately after posting, to ask them about it. I said that there are probably many other Vermonters at vigils or rallies throughout the state at that hour, not only in Brattleboro, who also might be interested in participating in the telephone town hall meeting.
The person on the phone would not put me through to Ryan Nickel, who signed the original announcement here, and instead she transcribed the concern. I asked them to get back to me about the conflict. They have not. I also mentioned that i posted the problem here, to accompany the original announcement.
