Papal Complicity Will Be Unmasked When US Is Indicted For Crimes Against Humanity

During the internationally empowered grand jury proceedings that will eventually investigate the astounding number of US crimes against humanity (many of which Martin Luther King Jr. chronicled in his 1967 sermon ‘Beyond Vietnam – a Time to Break Silence), the Papacy will not escape attention for its many Popes, not only having been accessories after the fact, but also collaborators in America’s almost innumerable cases of
homicidal use of its Armed Forces and CIA in innocent smaller nations on four continents.

The infamous agreements with brutal and murderous fascist governments signed by Pope Pious XII, the involvement of the Vatican Bank, through stock held in some of the massive investments of almost every major US corporation and bank crucial to the building of the Wehrmacht of a financially prostate Nazi Germany up to the world’s foremost military power, and the fact that Popes more than merely refrain from condemning US wars meant to maintain unjust predatory investments in colonial and post-colonial nations, will be criminalized
as continuing participation of the Papacy in speculative colonial power profiting from wars created by the convicted Wall Street investor elite.

Your peoples historian/peoples prosecutor begs off providing footnotes as a basis for these two predictions. Internet search engines like Google and encyclopedic sites provide tons of documentation beyond doubt. One may request info on church complicity in US wars, on Pope audiences and supporting press releases with US officials while they were committing crimes against humanity, on the authorizing of blessing of military personal shipping out to nations already having suffered atrocities against their innocent populations, and on Popes often repeating the twists of the truth programed by US corporate owned media’s to justify wars both horrendous and illegal. The following reviewed actions of individual Popes are on the other hand footnoted.

The above observation and prediction is offered at the time of the usual fanfare and saturation coverage on the election of a new Pope by the ubiquitous, all powerful speculative banking owned US media – a fanfare that is an obvious backhanded promotion of a loyal asset of the CIA – the Catholic Church.

This week it is the case of a new Pope, but an old ally of Wall Street and its criminal and homicidal reach.

For the proven past involvement of the church in wars in Europe and the Americas throughout it’s history, especially in colonial wars of conquest and enslavement in which the cross followed the sword enticing the assaulted to seek protection through conversion, it is nothing out of the ordinary that the newly elected collaborated with a monstrous CIA sponsored crime against the people of his country, Argentina.

This, one might characterize, pathetic captive of Satan, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, has up to now only stood out as someone special for his role of protecting the CIA sponsored coup d’état by the Argentine military and their subsequent horrific torturing and murdering of more than twenty thousand citizens between 1973 and 1983. It is is the name of the La Asociación Madres de Plaza de Mayo, an association of Argentine mothers whose children “disappeared” during the Dirty War of the military dictatorship, between 1976-1983, that we first present
articles below exposing the ‘ecclesiastical’ work of this collaborator with US criminal politicians and gangs of elite speculators in their maintenance of deadly but immensely profitable investments all around around the world.

Bergoglio, as Pope Francis, will probably be as unimportant as US presidents who are placed into office by the ruling rich as poster boys to divert attention from the crimes of the real masters of the universe, the miserly, by greed mentally incapacitated and frightened, fiends in their speculative investment banks that misrule the world into mayhem and materialism.

“Washington’s Pope”? Who is Pope Francis I? Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio and Argentina’s “Dirty War” | Global Research, 3/16/2013

“Who is Jorge Mario Bergoglio?

In 1973, he had been appointed “Provincial” of Argentina for the Society of Jesus.

In this capacity, Bergoglio was the highest ranking Jesuit in Argentina during the military dictatorship led by General Jorge Videla (1976-1983).

When the military junta relinquished power in 1983, the duly elected
president Raúl Alfonsín set up a Truth Commission pertaining to the crimes underlying the “Dirty War” (La Guerra Sucia).

The military junta had been supported covertly by Washington.

US. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger played a behind the scenes role in the 1976 military coup.

Kissinger’s top deputy on Latin America, William Rogers, told him two days after the coup that “we’ve got to expect a fair amount of repression, probably a good deal of blood, in Argentina before too long.” … (National Security Archive, March 23, 2006)

“Ironically, a major trial opened up in Buenos Aires on March 5, 2013 a week prior to Cardinal Bergoglio’s investiture as Pope.”

”Jorge Videla was among the generals convicted of human rights crimes, including “disappearances”, torture, murders and kidnappings. In 1985, Videla was sentenced to life imprisonment at the military prison of
Magdalena.”

One photo shows smiling David Rockefeller with Gen. Videla, another a smiling Jesuit Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio gesturing walking beside General Videla, a third shows Bergoglion placing Holy Communion wafer in
the open mouth of Gen. Vedela, a fourth shows Henry Kissinger chatting with Gen. Videla.

“The Catholic hierarchy was tacitly complicit in torture and mass killings, an estimated “22,000 dead and disappeared, from 1976 to the [1978] Thousands of additional victims were killed between 1978 and 1983
when the military was forced from power.” (National Security Archive, March 23, 2006)”

Had Jorge Mario Bergoglio taken a similar stance to that of Cardinal Raul Silva Henriquez, against the Pinocet coup and bloody dictatorship in Chile, thousands of lives would have been saved.

No doubt, there will be attempts to obfuscate the role of the Catholic hierarchy and the newly appointed pope Francis I, who served as head of Argentina’s Jesuit order during the military dictatorship.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio: “Washington’s Pope in the Vatican”?
In Latin America, where a number of governments are now challenging US hegemony, one would expect –given Bergoglio’s track record– that the
new Pontiff Francis I as leader of the Catholic Church, will play de facto, a discrete “undercover” political role on behalf of Washington.
With Jorge Bergoglio, Pope Francis I in the Vatican (who faithfully served US interests in the heyday of General Jorge Videla) the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in Latin America can once again be effectively manipulated to undermine “progressive” (Leftist) governments throughout the entire region, including Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia.

The instatement of “a pro-US pope” occurred a week following the death of president Hugo Chavez.

Did the US government attempt to influence the election of the new pontiff? Jorge Mario Bergoglio was Washington’s preferred candidate.”

Who is Jorge Mario Bergoglio?
Associated Press 3/14/2013

“the most damning criticism of the new Pope comes from the Argentine human rights lawyer Myriam Bregman, who has accused him of allowing his own Jesuit priests to be rounded up and tortured by the junta death squads, and of failing to intervene when families begged him to help find babies kidnapped by the regime.

Many Argentines remain angry over the church’s acknowledged failure to openly confront a regime that was kidnapping and killing thousands of people.

Under Bergoglio’s leadership, Argentina’s bishops issued a collective apology in October 2012 for the church’s failures to protect its flock. But the statement blamed the era’s violence in roughly equal measure on both the junta and its enemies.

The bishops also said “we exhort those who have information about the location of stolen babies, or who know where bodies were secretly buried, that they realize they are morally obligated to inform the pertinent authorities.”

That statement came far too late for some activists, who accused Bergoglio of being more concerned about the church’s image than about aiding the many human rights investigations of the Kirchners’ era.

Bergoglio twice invoked his right under Argentine law to refuse to appear in open court, and when he eventually did testify in 2010, his answers were evasive, human rights attorney Myriam Bregman said.

At least two cases directly involved Bergoglio. One examined the torture of two of his Jesuit priests – Orlando Yorio and Francisco Jalics – who were kidnapped in 1976 from the slums where they advocated liberation theology. Yorio accused Bergoglio of effectively handing them over to the death squads by declining to tell the regime that he endorsed their work. Jalics refused to discuss it after moving into seclusion in a German monastery.

Rubin said failing to challenge the dictators was simply pragmatic at a time when so many people were getting killed. … But Bregman said Bergoglio’s own statements proved church officials knew from early on that the junta was torturing and killing its citizens, and yet publicly endorsed the dictators. “The dictatorship could not have operated this way without this key support,” she said.

Bergoglio also was accused of turning his back on a family that lost five relatives to state terror, including a young woman who was 5-months’ pregnant before she was kidnapped and killed in 1977. The De la Cuadra family appealed to the leader of the Jesuits in Rome, who urged Bergoglio to help them; the woman had given birth in captivity to a girl who was given to a family “too important” for the adoption to be reversed.

Despite this written evidence in a case he was personally involved with, Bergoglio testified in 2010 that he didn’t know about any stolen babies until well after the dictatorship was over.

“Bergoglio has a very cowardly attitude when it comes to something so terrible as the theft of babies. He says he didn’t know anything about it until 1985,” said the baby’s aunt, Estela de la Cuadra, whose mother Alicia co-founded the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo in 1977 in hopes of identifying these babies. “He doesn’t face this reality and it doesn’t bother him.’

This article is meant to casts no aspersions on practicing Catholics around the world in love with the teaching of Jesus, and indeed orders like the Mary Knoll Sisters and Brothers have been in the forefront of sincere anti-war activities and the condemning of covert CIA homicide. The many murders of the priests connected to Catholic Liberation Theology in Latin America bear poignant testimony of Catholic priests bravely fighting the apostasy and war collaboration of the organized Roman Catholic Church. The various Protestant denominations are no less Pentagon favoring. The most famous evangelic preacher Billy Graham’s zeal to visit aircraft carriers lying off the
coast of war-torn Vietnam sticks in this writer’s mind.

Anti-imperialist peace activists will be watching to see if the new Pope will go beyond merely defending capitalist imperialism and propagandizing the faith to extending the reach of church influence, as did the more nefarious Cardinal Spellman of New York, who took a leadership role in the crucifixion of the mainly rice
growing farmers of the Indochinese peninsula.[1]

Given Bergoglio’s past, we would hardly expect him to cause distress for the ruling international business community as did Popes John XIII, Paul IV and John Paul I with encyclicals citing, deploring and condemning exploitation of the poor and wars for profit.[2] (The death of sweet renegade John Paul I, after a thirty-three day reign, awakened heavy suspicion of poisoning.)

More likely, Bergoglio will follow the in the path of his German and Polish predecessors supporting Washington, NATO and UNSC in all their mass-murderous wars and CIA’s covert and overt destroying and recolonizing.

From…………………. THE AMERICAN POPE
The Life and Times of Francis Cardinal Spellman
By- John Cooney
New York Times Books, 1984

“as the Pope’s activities escalated, so did Spellman’s. He became increasingly hawkish. Again, he returned to
Vietnam to spend Christmas with the troops, just as he had done in previous wars. But this time his politics wasn’t sanctioned by the Vatican.
[cause Vatican now publicly decried a war that it had demanded … JP]
The Cardinal used his visits to propagandize the American war – there was no question of the righteousness of the cause. When asked by a reporter in Saigon whether the U.S. presence was justified, Spellman response made many Catholics shudder and was bound to polarize Americans further. “My country, may it always be right,” he replied. ”Right or wrong, my country !”

CARDINAL FRANCIS SPELLMAN:
“The American Pope”,
Ex-Catholics For Christ, 5/2006

To Spellman all serving US troops in Vietnam were in his opinion “Soldiers of Christ.” He displayed a picture of himself standing before a fighter plane on his 1965 Christmas cards. Later he would even bless air bombers with sprinkled “holy water” before they flew towards the Ho Chi Minah trail.
By then he was sounding like an American Pope! No, not Pope Paul VI, but rather like Pius XII, who Spellman had known before Pius became Pope. LBJ asked him over breakfast what he should do next in the Vietnam. “Bomb them,” Spellman unhesitatingly ordered. “Just bomb them.” And the President did!

You could even buy a dollar tee shirt at any anti-war demonstration with the words “Draft Spellman Now.” You could even buy a plastic badge with “Spellman’s War” embossed on it and I can’t help thinking that Spellman loved it-he just didn’t care.

Self-accusing revolutionary words, while US wars on innocent peoples were countenanced, may be considered useless or worse, but at least these three Popes spoke them to the consternation of many in criminal establishment.

Quotes from the encyclicals of Pope John XIII:

“The mark of Cain stands upon our foreheads.”
“Conflicts “should not be resolved by recourse to arms, but rather by negotiation”
“Every man has the right to life, to bodily integrity, and to the means which are suitable for the proper development of life”
“Charity, not self-interest, should be “the supreme criterion in economic matters.”
“It is the responsibility of humankind to create a national and international order that promotes social justice in which all economic activity can be conducted not merely for private gain but also in the interests of the common good.”
“The state must sometimes intervene in matters of health care, education, and housing.”
Pope John XIII pointed out the lack of economic balance between agriculture and industry. His Mater et Magistra frequently explains the common good as a desirable balance between different elements of the society or the economy. For example, a business must balance its unity of direction with the needs of its individual workers. Development and progress in the industrial, service, and agricultural sectors must balance. Individual freedom and initiative must balance with necessary action of the civil authority, including appropriate public ownership of
property, based on the principle of subsidiarity. Economic progress should balance with social progress, especially a reduction in inequality. It is required by “justice and humanity” to share surplus food and other goods with other nations in need. Even more powerful are efforts to provide the citizens of those nations with the necessary
resources and training to implement modern methods and speed up development. This work should be done with respect for the local cultures and in a disinterested way, without the aim of imposing one’s own culture or gaining political control.[Wikipedia]——————————————-

Paul VI sought dialogue with the world, with other Christians, other religions, and atheists, excluding nobody. He saw himself as a humble servant for a suffering humanity and demanded significant changes of the rich in North America and Europe in favor of the poor in the Third World.

ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLES
Populorum Progressio
Encyclical Letter of His Holiness Pope Paul VI promulgated on March 26, 1967
TO THE BISHOPS, PRIESTS, RELIGIOUS, THE FAITHFUL AND TO ALL MEN OF GOOD WILL
peoples who are striving to escape from hunger, misery, endemic diseases and ignorance have the Church’s close attention, The Gospel makes it the Church’s duty to put herself at the service of all
3. John XXIII stated this in unambiguous terms – the peoples in hunger are making a dramatic appeal to the peoples blessed with abundance. The Church shudders at this cry of anguish and calls each one to give a loving response
We considered it Our duty to further the progress of poorer peoples, to encourage social justice among nations, to offer to less developed nations the means whereby they can further their own progress” which is
also is Justice and Peace.

6. Freedom from misery, assurance of finding subsistence, health and employment; share of responsibility without oppression of any kind and in security from violence to their dignity as men; better education – a greater number of them are condemned to live in conditions that make this lawful desire illusory – peoples who have recently gained national independence experience -autonomous growth, social as well as economic. Recognize that colonizing powers have often [?]furthered their own interests, power – their departure sometimes left
a precarious economy, bound up for instance with the production of one kind of crop whose market prices are subject to sudden and considerable variation.
8. … rich peoples enjoy rapid growth whereas the poor develop slowly. The imbalance is on the increase: some produce a surplus of foodstuffs, others cruelly lack them and see their exports made uncertain.
9. … the scandal of glaring inequalities – a small restricted group enjoys a refined civilization in certain regions, the remainder of the population, poor and scattered, is ” deprived of nearly all possibility of personal initiative and of responsibility, and oftentimes even its living and working conditions are unworthy of the human person.
aided or impeded, by those who educate him and those with whom he lives, but each one remains, whatever be these influences affecting him, the principal agent of his own success or failure
17. each man is a member of society, part of the whole of mankind.
18. The acquiring of temporal goods can lead to greed, to the insatiable desire for more, and can make increased power a tempting objective… fall victim to a stifling materialism.
19. Increased possession is not the ultimate goal of nations nor of individuals. we see hearts harden and minds close, and men no longer gather together in friendship but out of self-interest, The exclusive pursuit of possessions thus become an obstacle to individual fulfillment and to man’s true greatness.
21. mutilated by selfishness. Less human conditions: oppressive social structures, whether due to the abuses of ownership or to the abuses of power, to the exploitation of workers or to unjust transactions. Christ, Who calls us all to share as sons in the life of the living God, the Father of all men.

23. “If someone who has the riches of this world sees his brother in need and closes his heart to him, how does the love of God abide in him?. To quote Saint Ambrose: “You are not making a gift of your possessions to the poor person. You are handing over to him what is his. For what has been given in common for the use of all, you have arrogated to yourself. The world is given to all, and not only to the rich”. Private property does not constitute for anyone an absolute and unconditioned right. No one is justified in keeping for his exclusive use what he does not need, when others lack necessities. Great theologians taught the right to property must never be exercised to the detriment of the common good”.
24. If certain landed estates impede the , general prosperity because they are extensive, unused or poorly used, or because they bring hardship to peoples or are detrimental to the interests of the country, the common good sometimes demands their expropriation. unacceptable that citizens with abundant incomes from the resources and activity of their country should transfer a considerable part of this income abroad purely for their own advantage, with out care for the manifest wrong they inflict on their country by doing this.[25]
a system has been constructed which considers profit as the key motive for economic progress, competition as the supreme law of economics, and private ownership of the means of production as an absolute right that has no limits and carries no corresponding social obligation. “the international imperialism of money”.
28.John XXIII gave a reminder of the urgency of giving everyone who works his proper dignity by making him a true sharer in the work he does with others: ” every effort should be made that the enterprise become a community of persons in the dealings, activities and standing of all its members”.[30]

avoid the risk of increasing still more the wealth of the rich and the dominion of the strong, whilst leaving the poor in their misery and adding to the servitude of the oppressed.
34. Economics and technology have no meaning except from man whom they should serve.36. But man finds his true identity only in his social milieu, where the family plays a fundamental role.
40. Rich or poor, each country possesses a civilization handed down by their ancestors: institutions called for by life in this world, and higher manifestations of the life of the spirit, manifestations of an artistic, intellectual and religious character. When the latter possess true human values, it would be grave error to sacrifice them “What does
it profit a man to gain the whole world if he suffers the loss of his soul”
41. Less well-off peoples, temptation which comes to them from wealthy nations. eliminate those deceptive goods which only bring about a lowering of the human ideal

better-off nations obligations stem from a brotherhood that is at once human and supernatural, and take on a
threefold aspect: the duty of human solidarity the aid that the the duty of social justice — the rectification of inequitable trade relations between powerful nations and weak nations; the duty of universal charity – without one group making progress at the expense of the other.
45. “If a brother or a sister be naked”, says Saint James; ” if they lack their daily nourishment. Today no one can be ignorant any longer of the fact that in whole continents countless men and women are ravished by hunger, countless numbers of children are undernourished, so that many of them die in infancy, while the physical growth and mental development of many others are retarded and as a result whole regions are condemned to the most depressing despondency.
47. It is not just a matter of eliminating hunger, nor even of reducing poverty. It is building a world where every man can live a fully human life, freed from servitude imposed on him by other men or by natural forces over which he has not sufficient control; a world where freedom is not an empty word and where the poor man Lazarus can sit down at the same table with the rich man. This demands great generosity, much sacrifice and unceasing effort on the part of the rich man. Let each one examine his conscience. Is he prepared to support out of his own pocket works and undertakings organized in favor of the most destitute? Pay higher taxes so that the public authorities can intensify their efforts in favor of development? – pay a higher price for imported goods so that the producer may be more justly rewarded?

48. no country can claim on that account to keep its wealth for itself alone. Every nation must contribute to the common development of the human race.

49. We must repeat once more that the superfluous wealth of rich countries should be placed at the service of poor nations – the rich will be the first to benefit as a result. Otherwise their continued greed will certainly call down upon them the judgment of God and the wrath of the poor, with consequences no one can foretell.

51. money spent on arms would relieve the most destitute of this world.
52. feelings of bitterness, left over from the era of colonialism, … under the cloak of financial aid or technical assistance, there lurk certain manifestations of what has come to be called neo-colonialism, in the form of political pressures and economic suzerainty aimed at maintaining or acquiring complete dominance.

54. overwhelmed by debts whose repayment swallows up the greater part of their gains – interference in their political life or subversion of their social structures.

56. efforts made to assist developing nations on a financial and technical basis, -illusory if their benefits nullified as a consequence of the trade relations existing between rich and poor countries. what was being given them with one hand was being taken away with the other.

57. raw materials produced by under-developed countries are subject to wide and sudden fluctuations in price – nations whose industrialization is limited have to rely on their exports to balance their economy and to carry out their plans for development. The poor nations remain ever poor while the rich ones become still richer.
58. the rule of free trade, taken by itself, is no longer able to govern international relations. economic conditions differ too widely from country to country: prices which are ” freely set in the market can produce unfair results – it is the fundamental principle of liberalism, as the rule for commercial exchange, which is questioned here.

66. The world is sick. Its illness – unproductive monopolization of resources by a small number of men 78. until finally there is established an order of justice which is universally recognized.

80. We have desired to remind all men how urgent … At stake are the survival of so many innocent children and, for so many families overcome by misery, the access to conditions fit for human beings; at stake are the peace of the world and the future of civilization. It is time for all men and all peoples so face up to their responsibilities.

Pope John Paul I, after his election, quickly made several decisions that would “humanize” the office of pope. He was the first modern pope to speak in the singular form, using ‘I’ instead of the royal we and to choose an “investiture” to commence his papacy rather than the traditional Papal Coronation.

Pope John Paul I reminded Jorge Rafael Videla, president of the Argentine junta about human rights violations taking place in Argentina during the so-called Dirty War during his visit to the Vatican. A media reported remark of his, “God is our father; even more he is our mother.” His critics made him out to be a naive idealist. Inconsistent statements were made relating to who found the Pope’s body, the time when he was found, and what papers were in his hand. These issues led to a number of conspiracy theories concerning his death. The Vatican has not investigated the claims. John Paul I was found dead sitting up in his bed shortly before dawn on 29 September 1978, just 33 days into his papacy. There are reports that within the Vatican there was a whispering campaign by people opposed to John Paul I’s policies; “they treated him with condescension” – one senior cleric discussing Luciani said “they have elected Peter Sellers. Critics contrasted his sermons mentioning Pinocchio to the learned intellectual discourses of Pius XII. Visitors spoke of his isolation and loneliness and the fact that he was the first pope in decades not to have previously held either a diplomatic role or Curial role in the Church. His personal impact,
however, was twofold: his image as a warm, gentle, kind man captivated the world. The warmth of his presence made him a much-loved figure before he even spoke a word. The media in particular fell under his spell. He was a skilled orator. Whereas Pope Paul VI spoke as if delivering a doctoral thesis, John Paul I produced warmth, laughter, a ‘feel-good factor,’ and plenty of media-friendly sound bites.
