Starting Thursday, September 12th, Northeast Paving (a contractor of the town) will begin the cold planing portion of our annual capital paving project. Weather permitting, the following schedule is anticipated:
Thursday, September 12
Cold planing: Estey St. (Birge St. to Pleasant St.), Fairview St. (#51 Fairview St. to Maple St.)
Friday, September 13
Cold planing: Oak St. (Chapin St. to High St.), Green St. (Church St. to #164 Green St.)
Work is expected to happen between 7 am and 5 pm. On street parking will not be permitted during cold planing operations. No parking signs will be posted the afternoon prior to work on each street.
The work on Green St. will not be performed during the hours of the one-way pick-up/drop-off at the Green St. school. School traffic will not be affected.
Each street will be closed to through traffic during cold planing operations. Each street closure will take several hours. Please seek alternate routes.
