Grove Street – Temporary Road Closure
On Monday, October 17, and again on Tuesday October 18, a portion of Grove Street, between #45 Grove and #51 Grove will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. The Brattleboro Department of Public Works will be tapping a water main under Grove Street and installing a new 8” water line from Grove to the Brattleboro Municipal Center in preparation for the upcoming replacement/upgrade of the fire sprinkler system. At this time it is expected that the Grove Street Closure will last only on Monday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 18. In addition, Grove Street will again be closed on Wednesday, October 26, and Thursday October 27, between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm to repave the affected portion of Grove Street.
Municipal Center Access – Temporary Closure
Also beginning Monday, October 17, and continuing through Wednesday, October 19, access to the Brattleboro Municipal Center from Grove Street will be closed between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm to all traffic. All metered parking spaces in the Municipal Center Parking lot will be closed to provide adequate space for two way traffic on the north side of the Municipal Center, as access to and from Linden Street. On Wednesday, October 26 and Thursday, October 27, access to the Brattleboro Municipal Center from Grove Street will again be closed to all traffic between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. All metered parking spaces in the Municipal Center Parking lot will again be closed to provide adequate space for two way traffic access to the Municipal Center to and from Linden Street.
We regret the inconvenience that this temporary closure will provide to the public. The Town will provide additional updates should inclement weather necessitate a change to the project schedule.
