2. Recess
3. 6:10 P.M. Site Visit – Crowell Lot (Intersection of Western Ave & Union St/Cedar St)
4. Recess
5. 6:30 P.M. Meeting Gibson Aiken Center – 207 Main St.
6. Public Participation
7. Approve Minutes from April 16
8. Public Input via E-Mail – skateparkideas@brattleboro.org
9. Review Site Visits
10. Discuss Final Rating Process
11. Next Meeting Thursday May 1ST
12. Other business
The potential site list started with 42 properties which were merely big enough and all but 8 sites have been eliminated due to various ‘deal breaker’ issues.
The final ratings will submitted later this week.
Comments on any of the sites may be submitted during the public participation section of today’s meeting or via skateparkideas@brattleboro.org.
Disynchronicty
What an unfortunate double booking! The site visits and evaluation coincide exactly with the budget meeting.
I hope the skatepark isn’t excised from the budget at very moment people are out evaluating sites, with no advocates there to voice objection. That would be super sleazy and grounds for an uprising, no?
And more
There’s also the library meeting just before the SB meeting that conflicts with the site visits.
What is an involved, interested citizen to do?
(Rolf may need to work on cloning after he finishes with UFOs)
Intentional, or not?
Not sure how far in advance the skatepark date was scheduled, but considering the public interest in the library, municipal meetings tonight, the SP committee shld think of rescheduling…geez, we need a calendar manager in this town…
Does this help?
The Selectboard special meeting schedule has triggered the emergency library meeting, both of which are impacting the previously scheduled skatepark meeting.
Grounds for an uprising
Thanks Chris. Then, to reiterate Spinoza’s comment:
“I hope the skatepark isn’t excised from the budget at very moment people are out evaluating sites, with no advocates there to voice objection. That would be super sleazy and grounds for an uprising, no?”
sounds like trust in
sounds like trust in leadership is a recurrent theme in town? 😉
Is that your final answer...?
