  • Heads Up + Opportunity

Since the board is having two meetings this week, I’m going to pick the second one on Thursday regarding community safety and policing to report on this week.

This opens up an opportunity for you to help out. Anyone care to report on Tuesday’s meeting? I know you don’t have other obligations – you can’t go anywhere. You will be by your computer anyway. It’s easy to take a few notes and report on anything out of the ordinary. You don’t have to do it like I do.

Anyhow, I’m looking for someone to make me proud and help out this one time. Will you step up?

  • Who will be brave?

    Any volunteers?

  • Forgiven

Due to the storm and power outages, you are forgiven for not helping out and reporting this meeting. I lost power, too.

I did hear that the board held an abbreviated meeting to approve the liquor licenses and the tax rate.

I also heard that the meeting was “Zoom bombed” (ie, crashed) by someone spouting racist diatribes. I don’t have the details, but hear it was quite unpleasant for everyone. I’ll try to get some more information.
