Applications to schedule a grievance hearing are available at the Assessor’s Office by appointment or online at www.Brattleboro.org on the Assessor’s page. Applications for a hearing must be received in the Assessor’s office by 5:00pm on June 9, 2020. The Brattleboro Board of Listers will hold grievance hearings via GoToMeeting starting Tuesday, June 9. THE TOWN OF BRATTLEBORO ANNOUNCES THE FILING OF THE 2020
ABSTRACT GRAND LIST AND THE SCHEDULING OF GRIEVANCE HEARINGS.
Pursuant to title 32, Vermont Statutes Annotated, section 4111(g), “A person who feels aggrieved by the action of the Listers and desires to be heard by them, shall, on or before the day of the grievance meeting, file with them his or her objections in writing and may appear at such grievance meeting in person or by his or her agents or attorneys. Upon the hearing of such grievance the parties thereto may submit such documentary or sworn evidence as shall be pertinent thereto.”
The Town of Brattleboro Abstract Grand List will be lodged May 26, 2020. This same day, change of assessment notices will be mailed. The Brattleboro Listers will hold grievance hearings by phone, tablet or computer via GoToMeeting format starting Tuesday June 9, 2020.
