I. Call to Order & Quorum Check: Tristan Toleno called the meeting to order. Committee members James Banslaben and Ann Wright were present. Terry Carter and Police Chief Wrinn were also in attendance.
II. Agenda Review: Discussion of committee structure (two vacancies) was added to the agenda.
III. Approval of Previous Meeting Notes: The August minutes were approved. (No meeting was held in September.)
IV. Unfinished Business:
a. Review of use of force: Chief Wrinn reviewed the current policy and the process the PD uses to track and review annually when any type of force defined in the policy is used.
b. Committee make-up: Tristan reported that he’d updated David Gartenstein, Selectboard chair, and Patrick Moreland, assistant town manger, about the discussion the committee had had in August about its role in the community.
V. Public Participation:
a. Following up to a discussion a citizen had in August, Chief Wrinn was asked to remind his supervisors that the Citizen Complaint form is available.
b. Terry Carter announced that it appears that training for handling situations with dogs will be available through the SPCA for the state police academy in the spring.
