Brattleboro Citizens’ Breakfast

GMO – Right to Know & What we can do

The next “Brattleboro Citizens’ Breakfast” will take place on Friday,  June 21, 2013 at the Gibson Aiken Center, downstairs, hosted by Senior Meals. Doors open at 7:30am.

Tristan Toleno, State Representative for Brattleboro (District 3)  will give an overview of the Genetically Engineered Food Labeling Bill – H. 112 from his vantage point as a sponsor and as a member of the Agriculture Committee. This bill passed the House on a vote of 99/42 but it will now be taken up by the Senate (S. 89) next session. What can we do to help this bill’s passage? How can we have a positive impact on any bill in which we might have an interest? What kind of organization might be effective for positive change? These are just some of the questions which may be addressed during this presentation.
