Brattleboro Police and BS&L report a robbery at the bank this afternoon.
Brattleboro Police Captain Mark Carignan tweeted “Robbery at downtown Brattleboro bank. One suspect in custody. No other suspects at this time. No injuries reported. Press rlse later today.”
BS&L says
“You may have heard that our main office was robbed this afternoon. While that is true, the good news is that all of our employees, and the customers that were in the lobby at the time, are all safe. No one was injured. Our staff is extensively trained on how to conduct themselves in the event of a robbery and while we hope it will never be needed again, it was used effectively today.
Our main office will remain closed for the rest of the day but will reopen tomorrow, 11/21, as normal. In the meantime, our West Chesterfield and Springfield offices are open, and our suite of online banking services is fully functional.
Thank you.”
