Happy Thanksgiving

Making anything good that we should all stop over and try?

  • My contribution

My portion of the meal involved making a few loaves of bread infused with lavender, a key lime pie with a meringue topping out of my grandmother’s recipe box, and some bourbon-mint cranberry sauce.

  • WOW!

With those items as described, i’d want to stop over to YOURS and give it a try!
Where is it? What time should i get there?

    :>)

    Thanks,
    B.

  • Trying to keep up...

…with all these comments is making me hungry, now that my appetite has returned. While I don’t celebrate Christian holidays I will eat their food. 🙂

trying the slow cook method of roasting the turkey this year, have no idea how to calculate hours to cook a 16 pounder at 250 degrees. Checking frequently, but not so much as to prevent the oven from ever getting up to 250! Thank goodness for instant read thermometers.

  • Turkey is good.

It was a bit scaled down this year, older stomachs and all that. But we still feasted. The change up this year was tiramisu for dessert, and too many pies were leftover. If there can be such a thing as too many pies… they’ve found homes now. 🙂
