I just received a new twist on the medical alert obnoxious telemarketing calls. This one showed up in the caller ID as being from “Alert” so when I picked up, I just listened, didn’t say anything. A robo call came on saying that a system had already been paid for, including shipping (“perhaps by a friend or relative”), and all I needed to do was press one to arrange for delivery. I didn’t go down that road, but to be so bold as to say it is already paid for will undoubtedly get some people to respond. How despicable can thes telemarketers get? Please don’t answer!! I ask that rhetorically. I’m sure your responses would be just as nasty as the thoughts going through my head!
Anyway, beware of #925-221-2319. And let all your older friends and relatives who may be tempted to respond to this sort of thing know to beware!!
There is so much wrong with our society. These telemarketing calls that prey on older and disabled people are among my biggest peeves.

Here’s another, you have a gift card and ask for a balance. They tell you 0 and ask if you want them to discard the card so you give it to them. They then use the card that actually does have a balance.
So don’t ask for a balance just try to use the card.
