SAVINGS BANK OF WALPOLE BREAKS GROUND FOR FIFTH BRANCH
Local builder and tradespeople chosen to build new location
Keene, NH, – Savings Bank of Walpole continues to branch out into the community and recently celebrated its future new Court Street, Keene location with a groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony was held on Friday, August 5th at the site of the new branch located at 817 Court Street, (across from Dunkin Donuts). Attendees included several SBW executives and members of the bank’s Board of Trustees, along with the president and architect from local design/build firm Bensonwood, who are handling the design and construction of the building.
“First and foremost, we are grateful to the city of Keene for welcoming this project,” says Gregg Tewksbury, President and CEO of Savings Bank of Walpole. “We are proud to be partnering with a local builder, and local tradespeople on a branch designed from the inside out so we can meet the needs of customers and employees in a way that offers comfort and convenience.”
The new branch will feature two ATMs (a walk-up and a drive-up). The drive-up will have two lanes – the outside lane solely for teller transactions and the inside lane for both teller and ATM transactions.
Tewksbury said Savings Bank of Walpole chose Bensonwood for the project because of their longstanding reputation, local connection and focus on quality. He said the bank was impressed by the architectural integrity of timber design – a construction style that’s found in several iconic buildings in the area and one that will be used to create the new branch.
