Greetings.
As you may have heard, after ten years at the Latchis I will be stepping down from my position as Executive Director at the end of June. What a wonderful time it has been.
Most of the wonder comes from the support of people like you, who helped us meet every challenge, from annual appeals to capital campaigns, to facing down the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene.
Because of that, we all have a great deal to be proud of. Fully $2.4 million has been invested in the Latchis since 2003. Not only is the building safer, more accessible, and more beautiful (have you been in the main theatre lately?), it occupies a more central role in the cultural life of our community. Our partnerships with artists, arts organizations, local non-profits, and with you, our valued friends and supporters, fueled a decade of progress in film programming and Live at the Latchis events. It’s been satisfying, invigorating and so much fun!
As I leave the Latchis, I know I will not leave behind my commitment to the Latchis Project. There is still so much left to do and I am as excited by the future of Latchis Arts as I am proud of its past.

PS We are diligently conducting a search for a new Executive Director to steer the Latchis deeper into the community and culture of our region. I have confidence the new director will be an asset to the Latchis and the community, and we will work together to make a smooth transition.
