MamaSezz Hosting Free Plant-Based Beginners Class in Brattleboro 4/27

If you ask Lisa Lorimer and Meg Donahue, eating a healthy plant-based diet should be easy. But that’s not often the case. There’s a lot of information and misinformation out there. On top of that, eating healthy seems time consuming to the beginner. It can feel like you have to spend your entire day meal prepping.

All of this led Lorimer and Donahue to start MamaSezz, the Brattleboro-based plant-based meal delivery company in 2016.  They deliver nutritious and fully cooked plant-based meals to their customers nationwide and now they’re offering free plant-based classes for anyone interested in reaping the benefits of plant-based eating but needs help getting started.

A plant-based diet has been shown to prevent and even reverse chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and even certain types of cancer. Now, with free plant-based 101 classes from MamaSezz, people can get the tools they need to move from foods that hurt to foods that heal, all the while joining a community of plant-based beginners.

Their upcoming Brattleboro class will be held Friday, April 27th from 4:30-6pm at the MamaSezz store and offices  at 127 Marlboro Road in West Brattleboro.

The class will focus on more than just “why” eating whole plant-based foods is better for our health. There will be quick and easy cooking demonstrations (with recipes included), free samples of plant-based comfort foods from MamaSezz,  and all attendees will leave with a simple how-to plan for transitioning to a whole food plant-based diet.

At the end of the day, the MamaSezz team aims to show the community that food is medicine – it just doesn’t have to taste like it.

Plant-Based 101 is free and attendees will also get $15 off MamaSezz ready-made meals.

The April 27th class will feature Dr. Karen Hoover and is taught by Caroline DiNicola-Fawley, MamaSezz chef and graduate of T. Colin Campbell Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate Program.
