The BMH Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine office is pleased to welcome back certified physician assistant Wayne Temmen, PA-C, to their team.
Wayne Temmen has more than 30 years of experience in the diagnosis and care of orthopaedic patients under the supervision of orthopaedic surgeons. His background includes surgical assistance for general orthopaedic surgery, assistance with total joint replacements and arthroscopy, and follow-up care for surgical patients.
He completed the Physician Assistant Program at Duke University in North Carolina, where he also obtained a bachelor’s degree in Health Science. Wayne also has a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, completed his Surgical Residency Program at Yale in Connecticut, and an associate’s degree in nursing from Miami University in Ohio. In addition, he is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.
BMH Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is part of the BMH Physician Group, a multispecialty group practice of primary care and specialty care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants that is part of the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Healthcare System. The group’s mission is to provide community-based, quality health services delivered with compassion and respect.
According to Elizabeth Acquaviva, the BMH practice director, “Having Wayne as an additional member of the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Orthopaedic group will enable us to increase access for patient care within the community.”
