Rescue Inc. Announces Subscription Campaign for 2014-2015

Subscribers Benefit from Substantial Savings on Ambulance Services

BRATTLEBORO, VT—Rescue Inc., is in the midst of its subscription campaign, by which residents may sign up at a flat annual fee to receive substantial savings for the cost of certain ambulance services not covered by insurance.

Drew Hazelton, Chief of Operations, explains that for someone who had three ambulance calls in a year, the total cost could be $1500 or more. “For an uninsured person, our subscription plan could pay the full amount on a qualifying bill,” he said. “For an insured person, their plan may still require a patient co-pay, or the cost of the ambulance service might go toward an insurance deductible — but again, with a subscription they may not have to pay anything, if the call falls under the subscription parameters.”

More specifically once enrolled in the Subscription Membership program, the benefits for each family member legally residing in the household from July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015 include: Three medically necessary local emergency calls; Three physician approved, medically necessary, local non-emergency transfers; and new this year — one of the three non-emergency transfers can be a long distance transfer (up to 70 miles). Each subscribing household is entitled to a total of six transports per year providing all individuals receiving service are legal residents of that household.

The fee per household to subscribe is just $50 for those with health insurance and $100 if one or more household members do not have insurance. How it works: With insurance: the subscription covers any balances that the insurance does not pay. For instance, some insurance companies only pay 80%, Medicare only pays the Medicare allowable and if a patient does not have secondary insurance, there is a balance. Without insurance: The subscription pays the entire balance.

Participation in the subscription program may not only help you, but it will also help Rescue Inc. provide ongoing state-of-the-art training to its expert staff, purchase needed state-of-the-art equipment, and continue to provide top-quality, rapid-response, compassionate care in the communities it serves.
