Renaissance Fine Jewelry announced its diamond halo earring raffle raised $895.00 for Brattleboro Memorial Hospital’s “Doorway to Exceptional Care” capital campaign.
“The winner was Danielle Lauria,” said Caitlyn Wilkinson, owner of Renaissance Fine Jewelry on Main Street in Brattleboro. “She came in almost every day and bought tickets in both her name and the name of her newborn daughter. And the day after the drawing, Danielle’s husband brought her into the store and we surprised her. She was totally shocked; she couldn’t have been more excited. She even wore them out of the store,” said Wilkinson.
“This raffle that Renaissance Fine Jewelry held was just one more way that the Brattleboro community came together in need of this Emergency Department renovation project. We are incredibly appreciative of all the community has done in support,” said Ellen Smith, Executive Director of Development and Community Relations for Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
BMH goal is to raise $3.5 million for the renovation and expansion of its Emergency Department. Built in 1982, the original facility was designed to accommodate 6,000 visits per year. Last year alone, more than 14,000 patients accessed care through the ED.
