  • Liver

My inner child still says “no thank you” to liver. Actually, it say “Ewww, yuck, no way!” but it is trying to be polite.

I can recall the texture to this day, and haven’t eaten it since I was a kid.

    • Ugh!

I’m with you, Chris. When I was growing up this was a weekly dinner- one which everyone of the 5 kids in the family dreaded. My dad loved liver and onions and would spend time trying to convince my brothers and me how delicious it was. I can still vividly remember being out in the yard playing and having the smell of my mother cooking it come wafting out -ruining everything. I agree that the texture was horrible. I did a lot of sitting at the table long after dinner was over with my plate of congealed liver and onions and ice cold mashed potatoes in front of me. I was always happy when I had on clothes that had pockets because I could sometimes get rid of some of it without anyone noticing.

  • Vegetarian?

Don’t see too much vegetarian or vegan food here.
