Our South Indian food truck, Dosa Kitchen, has moved to a new home:
400 Linden Street (on Route 30), in front of Grafton Village Cheese in Brattleboro. Check Facebook for our new extended hours and stay posted as we firm up our regular hours. This week we’re open Sunday and Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday, then open the rest of the week. We’re at 646-388-2221 if you would like to call ahead.
We are now offering homemade ice cream featuring organic dairy and local eggs; coconut sorbet is our dairy free option.
All of our food is gluten free, we favor local and organic produce, never use factory farmed meat, and have daily vegan offerings.
**What is a dosa? A dosa is a fermented rice and lentil crepe that’s crispy, tangy, and delicious.
It's too bad Dosa Kitchen has
It’s too bad Dosa Kitchen has left their downtown location. It was a wonderful option for a healthy lunch. I guess they’ll do business from tourists stopping at Grafton Cheese but am wondering if local folks will drive to the new location. Wishing them good luck in their new spot.
We will miss downtown!
Hi KA, We were sad to leave downtown. We are both from urban backgrounds and and hoped to make the downtown location work and remain a part of wonderful downtown Brattleboro, but many folks reported that we were hard to find and that parking was difficult. That there is a lot within three blocks that charges 30 cents an hour seems to me reasonable, but we’ve found that most folks like the convenience of driving right up to their location, which our new location provides. We hope our loyal local customers will make it down the road to visit us!
Expanding Clientele
I know a lot of people really love the food at Dosa, and I think they’ll probably come to the new location too. After all, the Chelsea Royal is way out in West Brattleboro and people still go there. Indian food at a historic Vermont farm is a bit of a stretch but tourists will probably stop by too, esp if there’s ice cream…
