COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Note that Time Traders can earn up to 15 time credit hours per year through the “Hour Share Bank” by doing community service work. Members log your own hours with “Hour Share Bank” as the recipient. The following examples are current volunteer opportunities.
• Food Connects seeks volunteers to assist with their Local Food Buying Clubs. Volunteers are needed to help weigh and sort food in addition to helping families when they pick up their food. Volunteers are needed every other Tuesday at the Putney Central School from 1-4pm. Volunteers are needed at Academy School every other Tuesday from 3-5pm. For more info about Food Buying Clubs please contact Hanna at: theneighborhoodmarket@gmail.com or visit: http://www.foodconnects.org/
• Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen, located at Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main St. in Brattleboro offers a hot meal on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:30am and 12:30pm to anyone in need. The kitchen always welcomes new volunteers to assist in preparation of meals or in cleanup. Since they are a member of the Time Trade, other BTT members can directly earn time credit hours when they help. Inquiries welcome: Call 254-4730 or contact Bob Oeser at 518-505-9031 or: robt.oeser@gmail.com
