Wood doesn’t come flat and square from the lumber yard; you need to mill your stock as the first step in any successful project, ensuring the wood you are working with is straight, the sides are parallel, and have an even thickness.

Learn. We’ll start with a discussion on wood properties and lumber selection, and why acclimating wood to your shop is important. We’ll then cover basic machine functions and safety, and how to mill boards flat and square using the jointer, planer, table saw and miter saw.

Wednesday, April 2  |  5pm – 7pm
Cost: $95 non-members; $80.75 members (includes materials)
