October 19, 2024 10:00 am

HatchSpace

22 High Street Brattleboro

Learn. We will work on a new form, the tea spoon, and a new wood species, black cherry. We will dive further into the use of the sloyd (straight) knife and the hook knife, talk about how to get a smooth bowl finish, how to make a smaller spoon, tips on making a strong, elegant rim, explore wood grain, and more.  This is a great class for people who have already done some wood carving and want to dive back in!

Make. Students will leave the class with their own cherry tea spoon.

Saturday, Oct 19 |  10am – 5pm  |  Class will break for a 1/2 hour lunch.

Cost: $178.50 members: $210 non-members.
What to Bring: Bring a bag lunch, or you may visit nearby downtown Brattleboro to purchase lunch.
