Granite Lecture and Film Series Presents Paul Heller, “Montpelier’s Green Mount Cemetery: A History and Guide”

Learn more about the many engaging tales Paul Heller shares in his book, Montpelier’s Green Mount Cemetery: A History and Guide.  In 1855, the city of Montpelier dedicated Green Mount Cemetery on forty acres of land purchased by a special board of five commissioners from Isaiah Silver. Heller lays out the history of the cemetery and many of its notable features and memorials in his book, incorporating a variety of images and GPS coordinates. This week, Paul Heller will discuss the people, the monuments, and the remarkable stories he discovered working on his History and Guide.
