22 High Street Brattleboro

No woodworking experience required.

Learn. The bandsaw box is a fun project that introduces students to the properties of wood, and to one of the most versatile woodworking machines: the bandsaw. Students will begin with a solid block of wood, cut it apart on the bandsaw, and glue it back together to create a small lidded box, but this process will also involve designing, shaping with hand tools (and on the bandsaw,) and finishing and surface decoration.

Make. By the end of this class, students will walk away with a finished box that’s as fun and sculptural as it is functional.
