Glen David Andrews Returns to the Bandwagon Stage for a High-Energy Performance

Acclaimed New Orleans vocalist and trombonist Glen David Andrews is set to ignite Cooper Field with his dynamic band on Saturday, August 3rd, 6:00 pm. Known for his commanding voice and powerful trombone skills, Andrews promises an unforgettable evening of roots music that blends smoothness with grit, delivering an emotional and resonant musical experience.

A native son of New Orleans, Andrews hails from a distinguished musical lineage and learned the brass band traditions firsthand from iconic figures like Tuba Fats. Co-presented with the Vermont Jazz Center and sponsored in part by Bordertown Farm, this performance marks a celebration of cultural heritage and musical excellence.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the gate, with free admission for children under 12. Advance ticketing closes two hours before showtime. Glen David Andrews, born in New Orleans’ historic Tremé neighborhood, has toured globally since the age of 14 and has performed with renowned acts such as Galactic. His albums include “Redemption” and “Portrait of the Treme Prince,” showcasing his unique blend of musical styles.

The Bandwagon Summer Series is a family-friendly outdoor cultural performance series running from early May through mid-October. More than 20 performances ranging from a diverse group of musical styles, circus arts, dance, and theater will take place at ballfields, farms, and parks throughout Windham County. Kids under 12 always get in for free, and a dedicated play area will be available at all shows. Refreshments are sold onsite, including the return of the hugely popular Barr Hill cocktails.
