The Arts Block in downtown Greenfield, MA, announces a new musical series, the “Songwriter’s Roundtable.”
The first show in the series takes place on Friday, March 29, at 8pm, and features guest stars Lisa McCormick and John Sheldon.
The music will be presented in a “song circle” format where the artists trade songs during the sets. There will also be time for questions and open discussions about the songs and the process of songwriting and performing.
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Lisa McCormick from Brattleboro, VT is a mainstay of the indie singer/songwriter underground, where her strong, clear voice, and smart, sexy lyrics have earned her a loyal following. She is also a pioneer in the field of online guitar lessons.
John Sheldon of Amherst, MA is an Arts Block favorite with international credentials. A guitar prodigy who was working professionally at age 14, including a stint as Van Morrison’s lead guitarist at 17, John has gone on to write hundreds of songs, including “September Grass” which appeared on a platinum album by James Taylor.
The show takes place on Friday, March 29th at 8:00PM. Tickets $7 advance, $10 at the door. The Arts Block is located at 289 Main St., Greenfield, MA. Showtime is 8pm. More information: http://bit.ly/artsblockroundtable
