Vermont Public’s President and CEO Scott Finn has announced that the station’s name has been shortened from “Vermont Public” to “Vermont.”
“This is the logical continuation of our modernization efforts,” explained Finn in a press release. “The new name simply reflects our vision of educating Vermont’s listeners to become informed, engaged, and inspired to create our shared future. It is the station’s good fortune that I was asked to leave my position at West Virginia Public Broadcasting, and am now devoted to modernizing Vermont.
“In all modesty,” he added, “let me share the credit, as my great accomplishments at Vermont have enjoyed the support of our compliant team.”
