March 2025, Guilford, VT… Stories, music and great desserts return to Guilford once again as the popular program, Back Roads Stories, welcomes in spring. Please join friends and neighbors from around our region at the Broad Brook Community Center, 3940 Guilford Center Road, on Sunday, March 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm for a show that has always delighted audiences.
“We are thrilled to host the return of Back Roads Stories at the Broad Brook Community Center,” said Ada Brown, Manager and Program Coordinator. “This program is not only a celebration of the art of storytelling but also an opportunity to connect with our neighbors in a deep and meaningful way.”
Back Roads Stories will be emceed once again by Don McLean and will include storytellers Dennis Waring, Dot MacDonald and Mary Wallace Collins. Our audience can also look forward to the music of the Green Mountain Strummers, a popular ukulele group that entertains around our region and has been an exciting part of past programs. Musicians include Susan Rosano, Deborah Noe, Dennis Waring, Karen Shapiro and Cal Heile. Back Roads Stories concludes with a feast of locally made desserts and an opportunity to meet with the storytellers, musicians and neighbors.
“I attended the previous programs and I’ve enjoyed hearing the many stories from different people about their travels, their lives and their worlds. It was a nice way of spending time with the community,” commented Guilford resident Karen Orr.
“We believe that these stories—told with humor, creativity and heart—can inspire, uplift and foster a sense of shared experience in our community,” added the center’s Manager Ada Brown. “Back Roads Stories is part of a fast-growing menu of events at the BBCC and we’re looking forward to presenting it again.”
