The Friends of the Library will present a free lecture, The Beatles: Band of the Sixties by scholar, Aaron Krerowicz on Friday, July 18 at 7PM in the Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro. This 60-minute presentation includes a film and audio clips plus excerpts of interviews with the band members.
The lecture starts with the band’s seminal visits to Hamburg from 1960-62; continuing through Beatlemania in 1963-65. Krerowicz will also review the Beatles psychedelic experimentation, their trip to India to study Transcendental Meditation and the subsequent White Album in 1968. He will conclude his presentation with Let It Be and Abbey Road in 1969.
Aaron Krerowicz will illustrate both the history and musical development of the band through examples of precedents and the influences which can lead to greater understanding of and thus appreciation for the Beatles music.

This is just one of many events “The Friends of the Library” brings to Southern Vermont’s community and town hub.
Neat site
Quite a job if can get it – touring about talking about the Beatles. He seems to be a walking library of Beatles information, too.
I always like it when people share their encyclopedic knowledge of something.
Are they just a band of the sixties? They were certainly of that era and shaped it, but their roots go further back and their appeal continues to this day.

More about the Reo Brothers:
The Reo Brothers is a band composed of four brothers from the Otic family. They are doing renditions of 1950s thru 1970s music of The Beatles, Beachboys, Dave Clark Five, Bee Gees, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, The Lettermen, America (band), The Ventures, VST & Co. and other prominent bands of the era. The band became more popular after they performed at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2013 in Araneta Coliseum.
