On Saturday, June 22, the West Brattleboro Association (WBA) will host its third annual West Brattleboro Village Day, 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM on the Village Green in front of the fire house.
The event promises to be fun for all ages! The Village Day will feature a bouncy house, juggling acts, trapeze demonstrations by Circus Arts, and hula hoop demonstrations by Alotta Hoopla! The Brattleboro Fire Department will have a fire truck on display and the Sheriff’s Department will be showing off their new rescue vehicle purchased after Irene caused damage in hard-to-get places. In addition there will be a pie contest and 50-50 raffle.
A display featuring the proposed new West Brattleboro sign(s) will be available as will a donation bucket, should you wish to help defray the cost of announcing our wonderful community to passers-by.
Come to the fair for festivities, fun, and food including burgers, hotdogs and other kid-friendly fare supplied by Café ala Cart which, during week days, is located next to Peter Havens on Elliot Street. Yum! The Jim Scott Duo will be adding to the festivities by providing live music such as jazz, pops and Dixieland. Badminton and bocce will be available for all to play on the green around the tent.
We are grateful for an anonymous donor who is helping defray the cost of the tent and a portion of the entertainment in honor of Robert Durant, and West Brattleboro Village Day is partially underwritten by the grant given to WBA’s Neighborhoods Project by the Thompson Trust. Save the date: Saturday, June 22! (Rain date a week later, June 29.)
