At a special meeting on January 21st, the WSESD Board appointed Dummerston resident Jessica Everlith to temporarily fill a vacancy on the board. Ms. Everlith will fill this seat until such time as a candidate can be elected to fill the remaining year of the vacancy created by a recent resignation. On the March 4th Town Meeting Day, registered voters of Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford and Putney will be able to vote for the candidate of their choice to fill this Dummerston seat on the board.
Individuals who are interested in School Board candidacy may pick up petitions at their Town Office. Petitions with sufficient signatures are due back at the Town Offices by January 27th. All of the Windham Southeast School District Director seats that are up for election are:
One 3-year term representing Brattleboro
Must be a resident of Brattleboro.
Pick up petition at Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office, 230 Main St #108, Brattleboro
One 3-year term representing Dummerston
Must be a resident of Dummerston.
Pick up petition at Dummerston Town Clerk’s office, 1523 Middle Rd, East Dummerston
One 1-year term representing Dummerston (the recently vacated and temporarily appointed seat)
Must be a resident of Dummerston.
