Below is information that might be helpful to know for May 21stspecial elections.
Attached is a sample ballot for all four towns – Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford and Putney. All towns’ ballots are the same, and voters from each town can vote on all races. Absentee ballots are currently available at the Town Clerk’s Office and may be requested until 5:00 pm on Monday, May 20. Sample ballots can also be found on our website atwww.brattleboro.org under Elections.
The polling place in Brattleboro is the Municipal Center, 230 Main Street, Suite 105. Polling hours are 8:00am to 7:00pm. Early voting is taking place in the Town Clerk’s office until 5pm on Monday, May 20th.
The center area of the municipal center parking lot will be reserved for voters on election day.
Election information is posted on www.brattleboro.org
Election results will be reported from the central office of the school district within a few days of the election. Unofficial results will not be announced by the Town Clerks that evening.
Vermont has same day voter registration, however to save time on Election Day it is advisable to register in advance to vote by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office or online athttps://olvr.sec.state.vt.us/ .
