Only Three “Little Free Libraries” Left for Sale and Raffle

There are now only two “Little Free Libraries” remaining for sale and one to be raffled to benefit the Friends of Brooks Memorial Library.

The libraries are all hand-built by the Brattleboro Rotary Club’s Literacy Project Committee and painted by local artists Robert Craig Aldrich, Bob Cincotta, Pat Little, John McCarthy, Susan Rosano, Kim Stice and Suzy Worden.

These libraries are sturdy, weather-proof boxes, with a capacity for about a dozen books, that get mounted in public places. Passers-by are free to browse the books, take some home to read, and perhaps leave a few behind for others to enjoy. To find out more about this friendly concept, visit littlefreelibrary.org. The libraries are perfect for neighbors who want to join together and install one in their neighborhood or for a business that sees a lot of foot traffic.

All the proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to support the library with programs or materials to enhance the library’s mission.
