(802) 251-8100Calling All Brattleboro Artists!

Brattleboro is in the middle of an NEA funded CoreArts Project to better understand the place of the arts as an expression of and shaper of the Brattleboro Community. The first phase of this project has produced an “Atlas” describing the colorful fabric and complex connections of Brattleboro’s arts community.

The Arts Council of Windham County (ACWC) invites all artists, of all media and level of activity, who live or work in Brattleboro to a potluck and meeting to discuss this Atlas and the future of the CoreArts Project. The potluck will be at the Elliot Street Café, Sunday, June 2 from 4:30-7:30.

Those attending should bring Food to share (beverages will be provided), your own plates and silver if you can, a creative nametag that reflects your art, and your questions and thoughts.

Questions to be talked about:
Does the Atlas represent the Brattleboro you know and work in?
What surprised you about the report?  What did you learn?
If this is a living document, how should new information be added?
How can this report help you make better art?
How can this document improve the success of your arts business?
Is there an enhanced role for neighborhood artists groups?
.
