WHAT: This weekend marks the 103rd year of the Harris Hill Ski Jumping competition, the only Olympic sized ski jump in New England, February 14-16, 2025 in Brattleboro, Vermont. The event has a festive atmosphere for the whole family with opening ceremonies, live event announcing, music, local food and drink, a jumbotron and souvenirs. The weekend will serve as a stop on the US Cup competition of the United States American Ski Jumping (USASJ) series.
On Friday, February 14 ♥️, Harris Hill Ski Jump will host a Friday night target jump competition featuring athletes from the weekend’s lineup of competitors. Jumpers aim to land as close as possible to a TSSD Services logo painted on the landing to win a cash prize. The event is FREE and a thank you for the greater Brattleboro community for its continued support of the annual ski jumping event. Live announcing and limited hot drinks will be available for sale for Friday.
On Saturday and Sunday, approximately 30 of the world’s up and coming male and female ski jumpers from the US and Europe are scheduled to compete at Harris Hill in the Pepsi Challenge (Saturday) and the Fred Harris Memorial Tournament (Sunday). The event takes place on a 90-meter jump, the only Olympic sized ski jump in New England. Jumpers launch from the take off and soar more than 300 feet at speeds of nearly 60 mph.
NEW: This year’s competition will introduce a women’s open class competition as part of the Fred H. Harris Memorial Tournament (Sunday). They will be competing for a new Women’s Trophy that will be designed and completed in time for the 2026 competition. This year’s winner (2025)—the first to be awarded the trophy— will be recognized at the awards ceremony following the Sunday tournament and their name will be engraved on the new trophy once it’s complete.
WHEN: Friday, February 14. Gates open at 5:00 pm, jumping is from 5:30-7 pm. First come first served for parking. Friday is a free event.
