CALL TO ORDER—5:03 p.m. — Anne Beekman
On a motion by Deborah Stanford, the board approved the Consent Agenda as presented.
Public Comment – Martha Noyse of Brattleboro and Jody Normandeau of Dummerston spoke on the current budget process.
Administrative Report – Mark spoke of the upcoming school break. While there will be no school for students next week, Monday and Tuesday will be in-service days with school based professional development as well as meeting and planning time for staff.
Consideration of Principal Mentor position – Mark spoke to the value of the grant funded position.
On a motion by Tim Maciel, the board directed administration to provide the board with a timeline for evaluation of the Principal Mentor position. Furthermore this evaluation will include hard data and the number of hours administrators have availed themselves of the position and convincing arguments for and against continuation of the position.

Finance – Frank Rucker gave an overview of the budget process timeline sharing the Budget Development Rationale document as well as the Administration & Instructional Revenues and Expenses document.

● WSESU D4 Educator Supervision and Evaluation; Probationary Teachers (adopted by WSESD 8-27-2024)
The subject of future contract negotiations was tabled.
On a motion by Kerry Amidon, the board voted to adjourn at 7:46 pm.
