The Brattleboro Selectboard Retreat, scheduled for Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May 18th has been cancelled. The Retreat has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 13th

    Does the Open Meeting Law apply?

    Unless members of the public are welcome to the Selectboard Retreat, wouldn’t a quorum at which the public is barred violate Open Meeting?

    This is not like a quorum coincidentally showing up to watch a ballgame. It is an intentionally assembly of a public body. It strains credibility to image that no town business will be discussed.

    Does anyone know if this has ever been considered and brought to rest?
